Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 08/04/2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to orders placed with DEK Graphics & Print Limited, trading as DEK Graphics and The Print Room (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Prices and quotations
Prices shown on this website are for guidance only.
We make reasonable efforts to keep website pricing accurate and up to date, but prices may change without notice.
Any quotation or website price does not become binding until we confirm the final price at the time the order is placed.
Where we provide a written quotation, the validity period and any specific terms will be set out in that quotation.
2. Payment terms
Payment terms depend on the type of order, how the order is placed, and whether an approved account arrangement is in place.
For most non-account orders, payment may be required before production, on collection, or before delivery, depending on the nature of the order. For account customers, payment will be due in accordance with the account terms agreed with The Print Room.
We may require full payment or a deposit before starting work, particularly for bespoke, higher-value, time-sensitive, or business orders.
If payment is not made when due, we may delay production, withhold collection or delivery, or cancel the order.
3. Turnaround times
Any turnaround times given are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed deadline in writing.
We are not liable for delays caused by late approvals, poor-quality files, incomplete instructions, supplier issues, delivery delays, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
4. Customer responsibility for artwork and order details
Customers are responsible for checking all order details before approval, including spelling, grammar, quantities, sizes, layout, finishes, and contact information.
If a proof is supplied, it is the customer’s responsibility to review it carefully before approval.
Once a proof has been approved, responsibility for errors in the approved artwork or details passes to the customer.
5. Artwork and file quality
Customers are responsible for supplying artwork and files in a suitable format and quality for print. Low-resolution files, poor-quality images, incorrect sizing, missing bleed, unsuitable colour setup, or other file issues may affect the finished result.
We may offer guidance, basic checks, or refer customers to our artwork guidelines, but these are provided as general guidance only and do not amount to a full technical review of every file.
If poor-quality files are supplied, we are not responsible for the resulting print quality.
6. Colour variation
Printed colours may differ from how artwork appears on screen. Screens create colour using emitted light, while printed materials show colour by reflecting light off ink, toner and paper, so exact matches are not always possible.
Colour may also vary between paper stocks, finishes, print runs, and devices.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, colour matching is not guaranteed.
Customers should refer to our artwork guidelines for further information.
7. Delivery, collection and risk
Orders may be collected from our premises or delivered, depending on what is agreed at the time of order.
Customers must inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after collection or delivery.
Risk in the goods passes to the customer on collection or, where delivery is arranged, on delivery to the address provided.
8. Cancellations, refunds, reprints and complaints
Because many orders are bespoke and made to the customer’s specification, cancellations may not be accepted once work has started, materials have been ordered, or production has begun.
Refunds, reprints, or other remedies will be considered where there is a genuine fault in the product or where required by law. We may ask for the goods to be returned or inspected before deciding on the appropriate remedy.
Complaints about print faults, shortages, damage, or incorrect items must be reported as soon as possible after collection or delivery, and no later than 7 days after receipt of the goods.
9. Right to refuse work
We reserve the right to refuse any order or file that, in our reasonable opinion, is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, misleading, or infringes the rights of any third party, including copyright, trade mark, or other intellectual property rights.
10. Third-party services
Where customers use third-party services in connection with an order, such as WeTransfer, those services are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, security, storage, handling, or performance of those third-party services.
Customers should make sure they are satisfied with the terms and privacy arrangements of any third-party platform they choose to use.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to that, our liability for any claim arising out of an order shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from delays, file issues, or customer-supplied errors.
12. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
